Notice of Road Construction

Week of September 9, 2024

π—₯𝗒𝗔𝗗 π—ͺ𝗒π—₯π—ž π—¨π—£π——π—”π—§π—˜ - September 10, 2024

The road work initially anticipated for completion this week has been postponed due to the high probability of rain. The remaining work consists of cold mix repair at Northbrook Subdivision, Brookside Drive from Range Road 232 to Northbrook Drive & Pinebrook Subdivision, and selective work on Pinebrook Drive.

If weather permits, the work will be undertaken the following week.

Road stabilization has been completed at the intersection of Township Road 584 & Range Road 231. More work is forecasted on Range Road 212 north of Hwy 661 and is rescheduled during the third week of September.

 

September 6, 2024

Thorhild County will be performing selective roadway conditioning during the week of September 9, 2024.. The scope of work includes milling the existing asphalt surface, adding gravel and asphalt oil to rejuvenate the milled asphalt with virgin aggregate then mixing and spreading the cold mix.

Heavy-duty equipment will be utilized for this work, such as a reclaimer, motor grader, distributor truck, pneumatic roller and padfoot packer. The road surfaces will be milled and placed in windrows on September 10th with the laying and mixing commencing on the 11th and 12th of September.

Some disruptions to traffic can be anticipated, and access will be restricted to residences within the work areas. It is also anticipated that hours of work may extend beyond normal business hours. If there is any concern regarding the work, as scheduled, please call 780-398-3741 and ask to speak with the Director of Infrastructure.

The work is scheduled to take place from September 10th to the 13th. The location of the work is as follows:

  • Hamlet of Radway, 48th Avenue from 52nd Street to 48th Street
  • Hamlet of Abee, Twp Rd 610, from 50th Street east to the Hamlet boundary
  • Northbrook Subdivision, Brookside Drive from Range Road 232 to Northbrook Drive
  • Pine Brook Subdivision, selective work on Pinebrook Drive
