Thorhild County provides Water, Natural Gas, Sewer, and Waste Collection to the following Hamlets. Natural Gas service is provided to 1600 customers.
Utility bills are processed monthly with a base fee and services consumed by meter readings. Bills are normally mailed and emailed between the 10th and 12th of each month. Bills are due on the last day of every month. Check you bills for accurancy and report any errors or omissions within 30 days of receipt of your bill to the Utility Department at 780-398-3741 ext. 2811. Water and Wastewater Bylaw 01-2023
Utilities are billed after consumption and are due upon receipt. Payments can be made online with most financial institutions, through your bank, by mail, or in person at the County office, online through Option Pay. A 2% penalty is charged on any payments made after the due date.
You must be the registered owner of the property to apply for utilities. Owners of rental properties have the option to have an “occupant copy” sent to the property, but the owner is ultimately responsible for the account.

The registered owner is responsible for the payment of utility. Non-payment of utility bills could result in utilities being shut off and transfer of outstanding balances to the owner’s property tax account.
To arrange pre-authorized payments, applicants should fill in the Pre-Authorized Payment Form and send it to the County office along with a blank voided cheque from the account from which payments are to be made for monthly utilities.
