Family Resource Centre

Family Resource Centre

The Thorhild County Family Centre program provides services to families in need of support and/or information. The goal of the program is to improve family functioning and well-being by working together with families, agencies, and the community.

Thorhild County Family Resource Centre offers strength-based programs and services in a safe and welcoming environment to help families thrive and grow.

Our programs and services are preventative and supportive providing opportunities for families with children newborn to eighteen to respond to challenges as they arise. The program is intended to help build healthy and resilient families.

Core Services Include:

  • Caregiver capacity-building support
  • Child development and wellbeing supports
  • Social Connections and supports

We work collaboratively within the ‘Rural Connections Family Resource Network’ as well as with parents and caregivers, schools, and other key community stakeholders to deliver, evidence-based programs that are responsive to the ever-changing and increasingly complex needs of children, youth, and families.
