Family & Community Support Services (FCSS)
Thorhild County Family and Community Support services develops locally-driven, preventative social services to enhance the well-being of families, children, seniors and volunteers in Thorhild County.
Services offered under this program:
Programs are designed for children ages 6-16 to learn new things, build new skills, interact and explore.
Registrations for Summer Programs are available through Thorhild County's Online Ticketing Page. See the link below and click County Programs to register for summer programs. You will need to create an account, which will allow you to register and pay online.

The Community Volunteer Incomes tax Program (CVITP) provides low income individuals who have basic non-complex returns with free help in completing and filing their income tax returns.

Income limits for the 2021 year are as follows:
Singles up to $35,000
Couples combined income up to $45,000
Families with combined income up to $52,500
This year, returns will be scheduled on an appointment basis so please call Carolyn at 780-398-3741 extension 2810 to schedule an appointment.
Residents of Thorhild County may access the Redwater Fellowship of Churches Food Bank. Pleases call 780-942-2061 for more information. If you experience difficulty in being able to pick up items from the Food Bank please contact our office to see if we can assist.
Thorhild County FCSS in partnership with Aspen View Public School provides support services to children of school age and their families to strengthen and stabilize school, family and community life.
