The County's online mapping system allows users to view property boundaries, roads, utility lines, road maintenance, and other useful details.
The menu on the left side of the screen allows you to turn on or off various layers containing information about land in our municipality. You can also use the zoom tool to select an area of the County that you want to view in more detail. At the top left of the legend, there are three viewing options (Legend, Searches, Routing) for accessing different types of information.
Legend: This view displays the map with all the features you select from the left-hand menu.
Searches: This option enables you to search by categories. Click the drop-down menu to choose from parcel, address, legal location, transportation, latitude/longitude, or PD (permit number). Enter the location you wish to view under the selected category.
Routing: This feature allows you to enter two points on the map to determine the distance between them.
Selecting a Location: Simply click on the area of the map you wish to explore in more detail.
Zooming In and Out: There is a menu at the top left of the map image with a magnifying glass icon and a +/- symbol. You can also use the slider or your mouse wheel to zoom in or out.
Moving Around: Left-click and hold your mouse on the map. The area you click on will be highlighted in green. You can then drag the map in any direction. To move again, simply re-click the map and drag.
Gravelling Maintenance: Near the bottom of the left-hand side legend, click on “Maintenance”, and ensure that the “Gravelling” box is checked. Click on the plus sign (+) to view the thematics, which shows the status of the maintenance.
