Have you taken photos that showcase the beauty of Thorhild County during the summer months? If so, we’d love to give you bragging rights by sharing your photos in County publications and social media platforms. By entering your favourite photo, you not only capture the splendour of our County, but you also have a chance to win a prize!

To submit your photo(s), please complete the entry form and photo release form, and email to photocontest@thorhildcounty.com. 

Contest Rules:

1. The contest is open to Thorhild County residents of all ages; however, if an entrant under 18 wins the contest, the prize must be accepted by a parent or guardian.
2. The deadline to submit photos is October 31, 2024.
3. All photos must be taken within Thorhild County boundaries.
4. When submitting the photo, the entrant must state the address or location where the photo was taken. Only submissions in Thorhild County will qualify.
5. Photos must capture the summer and fall season.
6. Up to five (5) photo entries per person will be accepted.
7. All photos must be submitted in high-quality JPEG or PNG format.
8. Photos must not contain a watermark and not contain any elements protected by someone else’s copyright or subject to third-party proprietary rights.
9. Photo colour correction and tonal cast changes are acceptable.
10. The content of photos must be suitable for a global and public audience and must not contain content or images considered obscene, profane, depicting, or inciting violence, showing or inciting illegal actions, or are disrespectful to Thorhild County. Thorhild County reserves the right to disqualify any submission that does not adhere to the intent or the substance of the Rules.
11. All submitted entries become the property of Thorhild County. The County reserves the right to use the photographs in printed and electronic materials promoting Thorhild County without paying compensation to the photographer or the subjects.
12. Thorhild County staff and Councillors are welcome to submit photos, however, a prize will not be awarded to County staff or Councillors.
13. If for any reason, the contest is not capable of being conducted as planned, Thorhild County reserves the right to cancel, modify, suspend or terminate the contest without notice to entrants.
14. Each entrant must complete an entry form and photo release form.
