There is a wildfire near the Alberta/BC border. The situation is being monitored, and if conditions do not improve, an evacuation will be required. This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. The MD of Opportunity has updated the wildfire alert.

The MD of Opportunity has rescinded the Evacuation Order due to SWF092, as the fire poses no immediate threat to the residents at this time. However, a 2 hour Evacuation Alert (be prepared to evacuate with two hours' notice) remains in place for all those in the vicinity of the fire. Area: (The Evacuation Order is no longer in effect for Red Earth Creek.)

This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. Loon River First Nation has rescinded its Evacuation Order. Loon River First Nation has rescinded the Evacuation Order due to the Red Earth Complex Fire, as the fire poses no immediate threat to residents, at this time. However, a 2 hour Evacuation Alert remains in place for all those in the vicinity of the fire, and residents should remain prepared should conditions change. Area: (This in effect for the community of Loon Lake .)
