Economic Development in Thorhild County: Forging Strategies for the Future
Thorhild County is proud to announce the launch of a new initiative aimed at fostering comprehensive economic development to strengthen the vibrancy and resilience of our regional economy. This initiative takes a holistic approach to economic growth by supporting existing businesses, attracting new investment, encouraging entrepreneurship, and facilitating collaboration among community groups. By addressing both immediate challenges and long-term opportunities, Thorhild County seeks to create a sustainable and diversified economic foundation that benefits all sectors of the community
The Economic Development initiative will be rolled out over the next two years, and its foundation is built on direct engagement with local businesses, residents, service providers, community groups, local government officials, and other key stakeholders. The County is working with Lochaven Consulting, who will work closely with citizens, business owners, industry stakeholders, and regional partners over the coming months to build an Economic Development strategy aligned to the specific needs and context of Thorhild County.
Our key focus areas include:
- Empowering Local Businesses: Supporting existing businesses to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
- Encouraging and Growing Entrepreneurs: Providing essential resources and mentorship to help new ventures succeed and flourish.
- Attracting New Investments: Bringing fresh opportunities, business growth, and long-term economic vitality to Thorhild County
“We are excited to launch this initiative and take a proactive approach to supporting our local economy,” said Carol Revega, Director of County Services for Thorhild County.
