Mail Service Disruption

Attention Utility Customers

Thorhild County wants to remind utility customers that payment deadlines remain unchanged despite the ongoing postal strike, which may prevent you from receiving your bills by mail. This is a great opportunity to sign up for e-billing to ensure you don’t miss any payment deadlines. To enroll, click here or call 780-398-3741 extension 2811.

Alternatively, you can pick up your bill at the County Office at 801 1st Street. We are open Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

**𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗮𝘆 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗨𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹:**

- Pre-Authorized Payment Plan: Enroll to have your bill paid automatically from your bank account.

- Online or Telephone Banking: Use your bank's online or phone services to make payments.

- In-Person Payments: You can pay at the County Office using cash, cheque or debit.

- Drop Box: Drop off cheques (no cash) in the secure drop box at the County Office, available after hours.

- Online Payments: You can pay online with a credit card through our OptionPay system. Click here for details.

Water quality testing is still underway. The precautionary Boil Water Advisory remains in effect until testing confirms there is no contamination. This will be the final Alberta Emergency Alert related to this Boil Water Advisory. Ongoing updates will be provided through the Town of Penhold’s website and social media channels. Area: (The Boil Water Advisory remains in effect for areas within Penhold south of Minto Street. )

During routine testing of the water supply, low chlorine levels were found. Water samples have been taken and are being processed by the provincial laboratory. A boil water advisory has been issued as a precaution. The precautionary Boil Water Advisory will remain in effect until water quality testing confirms there is no contamination. Area: (This alert is in effect for areas within Penhold South of Minto Street.)
