Asphalt Concrete Paving, Curb and Concrete Sidewalk, Curb & Gutter & Other Work

Thorhild County is seeking proposals for asphalt concrete paving, mill and fill, concrete sidewalk replacement, curb and gutter work, and related improvements within the Hamlets of Thorhild, Radway, Newbrook, and Long Lake. The work also includes intersection improvements at Township Road 590 and Opal Road (Range Road 224), along with the application of fog seals within the Hamlets of Thorhild and Radway.

At 7:43 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time Saturday, Environment Canada has updated a severe thunderstorm warning for North Central Alberta. Extra care and attention should be exercised. Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking an extremely dangerous thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, baseball size or greater hail and heavy rain. At 6:50 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is possibly producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible. The thunderstorm is just west of MacKay and is moving to the east at 45 km/h. The storm is likely producing hail the size of ping pong to tennis ball size. ### This is a very dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation.
