A full Fire Ban is in effect throughout Thorhild County. Current conditions are considered extreme. The following are prohibted: all outdoor burning, the use of explosive targets, and the discharge of fireworks. All forms of vehicles can be a serious source of ignition in extreme conditions. Use caution when working or driving in grassy areas.

This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. Thorhild County has updated its wildfire alert.

There is a wildfire in the Redwater Provincial Recreation Area. The fire remains out of control, and it is not yet safe to return home. Area: (This alert is in effect for everyone in southeast Thorhild County between the Correction Line and the boundary of Sturgeon County.)
