Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms which may produce tornadoes. Strong winds, large hail and heavy rain are also possible. There is a slight risk that a severe thunderstorm could develop this afternoon and produce a tornado. The tornado risk will diminish early this evening. ### This is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. Tornado watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce tornadoes. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to ABstorm@ec.gc.ca, call 1-800-239-0484 or post reports on X using #ABStorm. This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. Kneehill County has issued an emergency alert.

Telus landline and cellular service is currently disrupted to Carbon, Acme, Linden and surrounding areas in Kneehill County. Telus customers cannot make or receive calls in the affected areas, including 9-1-1 calls. Crews are working to restore service. There is no estimated time for service restoration.
