Notice of Proposed Sale of Land for Less Than Market Value (5005 – 51 Ave, Newbrook)

Take notice that:

In accordance with Sections 70, 231(9), and 606 of the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A. 2000, c. M-26 (the “MGA”), Thorhild County proposes to sell County-owned land, being legally described as Plan 2252 ET, Block 2, Lot 4, and municipally addressed as 5005 – 51 Avenue, Newbrook, Alberta, to Markus Schneider and Sonja Schneider for less than market value.

The proposed land sale and related information may be viewed during regular business hours, Tuesday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays, at the Thorhild County Administration Office. For further information regarding the proposed sale, please contact Ryan Maier at 780-398-3741.

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms which may produce a tornado. Funnel clouds in this area have been reported to be very close to the ground. It is possible that funnel clouds may touch the ground and become a brief landspout tornado. At 7:26 p.m. MDT, an extremely dangerous thunderstorm is located near Barnwell. This extremely dangerous thunderstorm is moving east at 45 km/h. Damaging wind gusts, baseball size or greater hail and heavy rain are possible. Locations and nearby areas that could be impacted include: Barnwell, Wrentham, Skiff ### Driving conditions will be difficult. Buildings and/or many trees will be destroyed. Large hail will cause significant damage and injury. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
