2025 Hamlet Paving Program & Selective Sidewalk Repairs

Commencing September 24, 2025

Please be advised that work is set to commence on September 24th in the ๐—›๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—น๐—ฒ๐˜ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—ก๐—ฒ๐˜„๐—ฏ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—ธ. This project involves the removal and replacement of sidewalks.

Selective sidewalk construction will take place on 51st Street and in front of the Drop-In Center on 50th Street. Additionally, paving work is scheduled for the Hamlets of Thorhild, Newbrook, and Radway, with a projected start date in early October.

The contractor for this project is Breycon Construction Ltd. If you have any questions, please contact the Public Works Office at 780-398-3977.

This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. The City of Calgary has issued a Water Supply alert. A feeder main break along 16 Avenue Northwest has impacted the cityโ€™s water supply. Supply levels remain in a critical state, affecting the cityโ€™s ability to provide water to communities and ensure adequate water is available for firefighting. Area: (This alert is in effect for all communities of Calgaryโ€™s water supply, including Airdrie, Strathmore, Tsuu Tโ€™ina Nation and Chestermere.)

This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. Alberta Health Services has updated its Boil Water Advisory for portions of Calgary.

A water main break resulted in depressurization and potential water quality impacts. Water quality testing is ongoing. The Boil Water Advisory remains in effect. This will be the final Alberta Emergency Alert related to this Boil Water Advisory. Ongoing updates will be provided through the Calgary website at https://www.calgary.ca/emergencies/feeder-main-repair/bearspaw-water-main-break.html Area: (The Boil Water Advisory remains in effect for parts of Montgomery, Parkdale, Point McKay and West Hillhurst.)
