Waterline Break in the Hamlet of Radway

Repair work set for October 6, 2025

UPDATE - OCTOBER 2, 2025

The waterline break repairs are now scheduled to occur on Monday, October 6, 2025. The homes listed below will be temporarily affected by the repairs. 

Crews are expected to arrive on site at 8 AM and may need the water turned off around 11 o'clock for a few hours to complete the repairs.


UPDATE - SEPTEMBER 24, 2025

Repairs on the waterline break were set to start today in the Hamlet of Radway. Unfortunately, we cannot proceed, as some related tasks need to be completed beforehand. Updates will be posted as soon as the other work is completed. Thank you.

 

SEPTEMBER 23, 2025

A waterline break has been identified in the Hamlet of Radway. The following homes will be affected by the repair scheduled for Wednesday, September 24, 2025:

- 4914 50th Avenue
- 5002 49th Street
- 5007 49th Street
- 5008 49th Street
- 4908 49th Street
- 4915 49th Street
- 4911 49th Street
- 4903 49th Street
- 4902 49th Street

Crews are expected to arrive on site at 8 AM and may need the water turned off around 11 o'clock for a few hours to complete the repairs.

This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. The City of Calgary has issued a Water Supply alert. A feeder main break along 16 Avenue Northwest has impacted the city’s water supply. Supply levels remain in a critical state, affecting the city’s ability to provide water to communities and ensure adequate water is available for firefighting. Area: (This alert is in effect for all communities of Calgary’s water supply, including Airdrie, Strathmore, Tsuu T’ina Nation and Chestermere.)

This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. Alberta Health Services has updated its Boil Water Advisory for portions of Calgary.

A water main break resulted in depressurization and potential water quality impacts. Water quality testing is ongoing. The Boil Water Advisory remains in effect. This will be the final Alberta Emergency Alert related to this Boil Water Advisory. Ongoing updates will be provided through the Calgary website at https://www.calgary.ca/emergencies/feeder-main-repair/bearspaw-water-main-break.html Area: (The Boil Water Advisory remains in effect for parts of Montgomery, Parkdale, Point McKay and West Hillhurst.)
