Road Ban Order 05-2020 effective June 12, 2020

The following roads are closed as at November 16, 2020:   

  1. Township Road 584A and Range Road 202 Corner, 1 South to Township Road 584 Myrtle Creek Bridge)
  2. Township Road 615A between Range Road 192 and Range Road 190A (One lane)

 Range Road 221 between Township 584 and HWY 28 by Buffalo Lake Estates is now open.

The public must not travel on closed roads.

Shelterbelt tree seedling sale 2021

Thorhild County residents interested in purchasing shelterbelt seedlings are requested to contact the Agriculture Services office or go online to www.thorhildcounty.com to see the species list and application form.

There are limited numbers of each species and will be done on a first come first serve basis. Distribution day is slated for early May. Agricultural Services offices are closed to the public, please call 780-398-3977 for more information.   Colorade Blue Spruce SOLD OUT  Okanese Hybrid Poplar - Only 4 bundles left as at Jan 22 2021    Call the Ag Services office at 780-398-3977 prior to sending orders to ensure trees are still available.

JUNE 10, 2020 - Thorhild County Council unanimously declared a State of Agricultural Disaster.  Council will be lobbying the Minister of Agriculture, Devin Dreeshen to establish a disaster recovery program for 2020.

If you have symptons such as a fever, cough and difficulty breathing and have travelled outside Canada

or have been exposed to someone who has COVID-19, stay home and call Health LInk 811.

Call 911 if you are seriously ill and need immediate medical attention and inform them that you may have COVDI-19.

If you have these symptons, please do not come into the clinic.
