Town Hall Meeting - Emergency Services Bylaw 10-2022

Thorhild County Council is holding a Town Hall Meeting to discuss Emergency Services Bylaw 10-2022, which outlines processes for the prevention and control of fires within the boundaries of Thorhild County and authorizes the recovery of related fees, charges and expenses.

Council is offering County residents an opportunity to ask questions, gain clarification, share input, and provide comments.

Note: The meeting will begin at 7 pm sharp.

There is an out of control wildfire approximately 5 km north of the James-Wilson Provincial Recreation Area, northwest of Sundre near Highway 40 (Forestry Trunk Road) and Highway 584.) Area: (This alert remains in effect for the southern portion of Clearwater County, South of Township 35, East of Range 13, West of Hwy 22, as per the attached map.)
