The wildfire is approximately 1 kilometre south of Peers. Area: (This alert is in effect for Peers and area.)

Highway 35 is now open. Winds continue to change and move the wildfire. Night helicopters will be patrolling. Area: (The County of Northern Lights has issued a wildfire alert update for the Hawk hills area. regarding active wildfire PWF050 near Twin Lakes. )

June 2

This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. Westlock County has updated it's Wildfire alert.

The fire remains Out of Control but has stopped growing. Cooler temperatures and scattered precipitation have supported firefighting efforts. Warmer weather is forecast for this week, resulting in a return to dry conditions. Area: (Theis alert is in affect for everyone in the area of Hubert Lake Provincial Park.)

An active wildfire has been identified in the area. All residents of Hawk Hills are advised to be prepared to evacuate on short notice. Area: (For residents north of Hawk Hills and around the Twin Lakes Provincial Park)
