A full Fire Ban is in effect throughout Thorhild County. Current conditions are considered extreme. The following are prohibted: all outdoor burning, the use of explosive targets, and the discharge of fireworks. All forms of vehicles can be a serious source of ignition in extreme conditions. Use caution when working or driving in grassy areas.

The wildfire near the Redwater Recreation Area. Area: (Evacuation Alert Area has now been expanded—south of Township 580 to the North Saskatchewan River and east of RR212 to the North Saskatchewan River)
