Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms which may produce tornadoes. Strong winds, large hail and heavy rain are also possible. Thunderstorms that develop this evening have the potential to produce a tornado. These thunderstorms will move east towards central Alberta through the evening. ### Significant damage or destruction to infrastructure, homes and the natural environment is possible. Tornado watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes. At 7:47 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible. ### This is a very dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. Tornado warnings are issued when a thunderstorm is producing or is likely to produce a tornado. Area: (Starland Co. near Michichi and Delia, S.A. 2 near Hanna and Richdale)

A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 6 kilometres southwest of Lawsonburg, and was slowly moving to the north. ### This is a very dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation.
