This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. Cypress County has issued a water supply alert for the hamlet of Walsh.

A water main break at a water treatment plant in Walsh has resulted in a disruption in water supply for customers in the area. This disruption is expected to last at least 72 hours. Area: (Hamlet of Walsh and surrounding area.)

This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. 511 Alberta has cancelled the hazardous road conditions alert.

Severe weather has improved and dangerous highway conditions are subsiding. Area: (This alert is in longer in effect for areas north and east of Calgary, as far north as Olds and as far east as Youngstown (see attached map).)

Area highways and roads may be closed without notice, and emergency service may not be available in some areas. Water quality testing is still underway. The precautionary Boil Water Advisory remains in effect until testing confirms there is no contamination. This will be the final Alberta Emergency Alert related to this Boil Water Advisory. Ongoing updates will be provided through the Town of Penhold’s website and social media channels. Area: (The Boil Water Advisory remains in effect for areas within Penhold south of Minto Street. )
