Monday, October 27, 2025 25 Fire Bans & Alerts, Local News Fire Advisory No Longer in Effect Effective October 27, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. New fire burn permits will now be issued. Please note, there is up to a 72-hour turnaround for permits as most of our fire Guardian are volunteer members of Thorhild County Emergency Services. Residents and visitors to Thorhild County are advised to be diligent in fire safety practices while conducting any burning. Be cognizant of burning in high winds as they will dry fine fuels quickly and carry embers long distances leading to spotting and fast-moving surface fires. Prior to requesting a permit, please ensure that burn pile(s) are a minimum of 82 feet (25 meters) from roads, fences, structures and other uncleared land.
