Friday, June 13, 2025 5 Emergency Alerts tornado watch in effect Severe thunderstorms have developed over central Alberta and are moving to the northeast. Some of these thunderstorms have the potential to produce a tornado. The greatest risk for tornadoes will be before 8 PM local time. Any tornado that develops will likely be brief but still capable of property damage. This tornado risk will diminish by sunset. ### This is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. Tornado watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce tornadoes.
