This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. The County of Grande Prairie has expanded the evacuation order and alert due to a wildfire.

The wildfire is over the AB/BC border, advancing northeast. Area: (The evacuation order has been expanded to include everyone north of Township Road 700 to Highway 43, east of the British Columbia/Alberta border to Range Road 130. The evacuation alert has expanded to include everyone north of Township Road 710 and Highway 43 to Township Road 752, east of Range Road 130 to Range Road 124.)

This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. The Town of Penhold has updated it Boil Water Advisory.

Water quality testing is still underway. The precautionary Boil Water Advisory remains in effect until testing confirms there is no contamination. This will be the final Alberta Emergency Alert related to this Boil Water Advisory. Ongoing updates will be provided through the Town of Penhold’s website and social media channels. Area: (The Boil Water Advisory remains in effect for areas within Penhold south of Minto Street. )

During routine testing of the water supply, low chlorine levels were found. Water samples have been taken and are being processed by the provincial laboratory. A boil water advisory has been issued as a precaution. The precautionary Boil Water Advisory will remain in effect until water quality testing confirms there is no contamination. Area: (This alert is in effect for areas within Penhold South of Minto Street.)
