Ledcor/Tri-Gen intend to close the Twp Rd 590 Access starting on Monday, May 13, 2025, and it will remain closed until further notice.
Please be advised of upcoming road closure specific to the upgrading of Highway 28 by Alberta Transportation & Economic Corridors. The work is under the direct care and control of Alberta Transportation.
The prime contractor for this work is Ledcor Highways Ltd. The grading work specific to the realignment and intersectional treatments is being performed by a subcontractor, Tri-Gen Group Ltd., and the engineering consultant for the project is McElhanney.
The scope of work involves realigning the highway alignment and several intersectional improvements. This notification serves to advise that these closures are pending in order to accommodate the highway and local road upgrading.
The longest forecasted closure is specific to Township Road 590, and there are six additional intersectional treatments that will be of a shorter duration. Detours will be in effect during each site reconstruction.
It is anticipated that Township Road 590 will be in effect shortly. A proposed detour map for the work associated with Township Road 590 is provided, as well as a map of the intersection that will be closed through the road reconstruction.
