This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. The Beaverlodge RCMP have issued an Amber Alert.

This amber alert is for the abduction of a child on July 7 by his mother. Lanakai Morrison is age 6, white, male, slight build, long light brown hair, and brown eyes. Lanakai may be with his mother, Krista Morrison, a 35 year old female, 5 ft 8 in, medium build, with long dark brown hair and brown eyes. Krista may be driving a black 2015 Toyota Tundra with AB license plate CTN9517. They may be travelling with Daniel Ludwig, a 35 year old white male, 5 ft 11 in, large build, brown hair and brown eyes. They may also have Karl Morrison with them, a 4 year old white male, slight build, long dirty blonde hair and brown eyes Area: (In effect for everyone within 200km of Beaverlodge.)

At 8:12 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible. The tornado was last reported east of Chauvin and is moving to the southeast at 30 km/h. ### This is a very dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. Tornado warnings are issued when a thunderstorm is producing or is likely to produce a tornado. This is the final alert for all areas of Lac Ste. Anne County in response to overland flooding, beginning June 21, 2026. Overland flooding has receded throughout most of the County. Area: (This alert is no longer in effect.)
