This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. Thorhild County has updated its wildfire alert.

There is a wildfire in the Redwater Provincial Recreation Area. Residents may return home but must remain prepared for a possible evacuation.

Area: This alert is in effect for everyone in southeast Thorhild County between the Correction Line and the boundary of Sturgeon County.

Affected areas (1):

Thorhild County No. 7

Action to take:

Thorhild County has downgraded the Evacuation Order to an Evacuation Alert for everyone located on Range Roads 203 - 214 and Township Roads 580 - 584
Residents of Thorhild County may return to their homes, but must remain prepared for a possible evacuation with 1 hour's notice if conditions change

This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. The Town of Penhold has updated it Boil Water Advisory.

Water quality testing is still underway. The precautionary Boil Water Advisory remains in effect until testing confirms there is no contamination. This will be the final Alberta Emergency Alert related to this Boil Water Advisory. Ongoing updates will be provided through the Town of Penhold’s website and social media channels. Area: (The Boil Water Advisory remains in effect for areas within Penhold south of Minto Street. )

During routine testing of the water supply, low chlorine levels were found. Water samples have been taken and are being processed by the provincial laboratory. A boil water advisory has been issued as a precaution. The precautionary Boil Water Advisory will remain in effect until water quality testing confirms there is no contamination. Area: (This alert is in effect for areas within Penhold South of Minto Street.)
