Take Notice that pursuant to Section 70 of the Municipal Government Act R.S.A 2000, Chapter M-26, if a municipality proposes to transfer or grant an estate of interest in a land for less than its market value the proposal must be advertised.

The land is Pt. SE 33-60-20-W4 and is 2.0 acres of vacant agriculture land.  Land is assessed at $1,480.00.  Council is proposing to sell the land for $750.00 plus gst.

Anyone wishing to file a petition regarding the proposed resolution must do so in compliance with the requirements contained in sections 222 – 226 and 231 of the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A. 2000, c.M-26.

• A petition must be filed with the Chief Administrative Officer of Thorhild County within 60 days after the last date on which the proposed bylaw is advertised.
• Only the electors of a municipality are eligible to be petitioners. 
• To be sufficient the petition must be signed by electors of the municipality equal in number of at least 10% of the population.
