Thorhild Centennial Park & Campground

The park area surrounds the Thorhild Swimming Pool and located near the campground.

This site has:

Playground (includes various equipment for ages 18 months - 12 years)
Multicourt
Picnic Tables
Benches
Fire pits (located by the campground)
Cook Shack (located by the campground)

Thorhild Centennial Campground

This campground is located next to the Thorhild Swimming Pool and has 8 un-serviced sites, cook shack, fire pits, picnic table and washroom facility.

This Campground is a first come/first served self registering campground
Fee is $20/site/night
Generators may be used from 9am—9pm
Each site is allowed 1 trailer or tent and 1 vehicle
You must register at the Thorhild County Administration Office located at 801-1st Street or you can call to pay by visa or mastercard 780-398-3741 during regular business hours (8am-4:30pm Monday to Friday, closed stat holidays)
Quiet time is from 11PM to 9AM
Pets must be leashed at all times
Fires must be in supplied Fire Pits and fully extinguished when done
Shower facilities may be used at the Thorhild Swimming Pool during regular open hours

Hamlet of Thorhild Recreational Vehicle Sewer Dumping station is located at 11-7th avenue. (Thorhild Community Hall parking lot) It is Closed for the season.

Calgary police are extending the alert for missing 11 year old Parker. He was last seen in the northeast community of Thorncliffe on Thursday, July 16 at 12:52 PM. He is 4’11” tall, 90 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes, wearing dark shorts, noise-cancelling headphones and no shirt. Area: (This alert is in effect for the City of Calgary.)

At 7:39 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible. This dangerous thunderstorm is located near Leedale and is moving toward the northeast at 25 km/h.
