NOTICE:  Thorhild County Utilities Department is working on correcting the error that occurred on 135 natural gas utility accounts, primarily located in the south-west end of the County. The error has been corrected and those utility bills were voided. New utility bills are issued and will be mailed out this week. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. Please contact 780-398-2811 should you have further questions. Thank you for your patience.


Thorhild Truck Fill Closure Notification - From March 17 to April 30, 2021 the Thorhild truck fill will be closed for servicing to rebuild the pump and shaft. Potable water will be available at the Abee, Egremont, Newbrook and Radway truck fills, and Non-Potable water available at Opal and Alpen truck fills.

Thorhild County provides natural gas, water, and sewer services to residents in different areas of the municipality.

Clogged Sewer Lines  Important information on what cannot be flushed down the sewer. 

Streetlights in the Hamlets:  the County is not responsible for the street light in the Hamlets, nor does it repair the streetlights.  To report a problem, residents should contact Fortis Alberta at 310-9473 or see the Fortis Alberta website.
