Complaints & Investigations

We will investigate all complaints or concerns that pertain to work
that is done by Public Works or regarding roads, ditches and right
of ways.

Bridges

We maintain and inspect all bridges in the jurisdiction of the County
of Thorhild. There are 101 bridges in the County of Thorhild. This
breaks down to 40 bridge size culverts and 60 bridges.

Overweight Permits

All Oil & Gas Drilling Rigs, Service Well Rigs, Logging and Big
Equipment Operators must obtain a permit to travel on our Township
and Range Roads. They must provide us with what is being moved,
Provincial Permit number and where they are coming from and going to.

Hamlets

We currently have 6 hamlets that we maintain in our county:

- Hamlet of Abee
- Hamlet of Egremont
- Hamlet Long Lake
- Hamlet of Newbrook
- Hamlet of Opal
- Hamlet of Radway

-Hamlet of Thorhild

Gravel Roads

We currently maintain 1258 kilometers of gravel roads with 6 graders
for the whole County of Thorhild.
